This boy...
chosen by God
marked for a purpose
Floundering
wondering
why and when will he know
chosen by God
marked for a purpose
Floundering
wondering
why and when will he know
"Don't we all have a purpose"?
Yes.
"I don't"
Oh yes son you do!!
This boy...
with a heart toward God
yet a heart overcome with fear.
Yes.
"I don't"
Oh yes son you do!!
This boy...
with a heart toward God
yet a heart overcome with fear.
A heart filled with sadness
Loss
Feeling unworthy
Questions
"I pray but
"I pray but
He doesn't hear me.
He doesn't bless me."
This boy
wonders what he did.
How do you tell him that he did nothing.
Wondering why he has a dad like he does
why is his mom sick
why can't he do better in school.
Why?
No answers.
But this I know.
This boy...
is loved!
This boy...
loves!!
This boy
This boy
may not feel blessed
but he IS a blessing.
This boy will be used by God.
This boy will be used by God.
He will have a story.
He will reach out.
This boy...
how I love him.
Thank you, God, for entrusting this boy to me.
Whoa, that is awesome!

ReplyDeleteThis boy...
ReplyDeleteprayed for
by a virtual community.
Prayers...
that he can know
peace.
Peace...
that surpasses
all understanding.
Prayers...
that he may feel
love.
Love...
that bears, believes, hopes & endures
ALL things.
Prayers...
that he may feel
confident.
Confident...
that He who began a good work in the Boy will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.
That was beautiful. That is one blessed boy!

Beautiful Sheryl. "This mother" , who is a blessing to so many, has an army of prayer warriors who intercede daily on David's behalf.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jesus for the privelege of intimate communication with You.

ReplyDeleteSheryl,
ReplyDeletethanks for stopping by...no I don't think I will start blogging....I might even blog more...It may even energize me...I have something new I am going to launch in a couple of weeks and it has been fun working on it...I may have just found something that will tie together babies and a baby.
I am sure there will be nights that I won't have the energy but I think I may can give some help to other bloggers that will help them with their decorating.
Hope you have a great week.
Teresa

Amazing. Praying now for this boy and his momma.
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL! I can feel his anguish and your unconditional love in this post. Praying for you both!
ReplyDeleteHe has you Sheryl, for a mom, to help guide him and teach him. This was always God's plan...and you're right, He does have a purpose for your son, now it's just a matter praying...and patience. I wanted to thank you for the kind words you left on my blog the other day - they truly are appreciated!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful...thank you for sharing your amazing gift of words...and your heart for the man-child you are given to raise.
ReplyDeletevery heartfelt
ReplyDeletevery touching
The prayers of a mother are so powerful and heartfelt. He is a gift from God to you. Gifts are given to us out of a heart of Love. You are right..."he" is for a reason and a purpose bigger than we can know right now. He has you...and he has all of our prayers. This post is so well written and shares your love for him in a real way.
ReplyDeleteI loved reading your poem. I believe God gave mothers a tender heart toward their children, so that they would always be their advocates on earth and their intercessors in prayer. Your mother's heart is clearly seen in your poem...you love that boy!
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you and him.
Charlotte (a fellow mom of boys)
