WHAT?

Cannot bring myself to blog but...want to let you know that my husband filed for divorce today. I truly thought God would get ahold of him and he would seek counseling before throwing his family away. I am struggling with where is God in this, how will I/we make it and then "knowing" God is in the middle of it all.

I am just so incredibly sad. I know (at least I thought I did) that God told me He would bring beauty from ashes in my marriage. Maybe He didn't mean He would keep it together, just that there would be beauty.

I am one confused, hurting, disappointed, broken-hearted girl.

Please pray, I know you will.

Sheryl

Oh no. I am sorry. So sorry.

I pray that you will see the beauty in all of this sooner than later. For now though, I know that you need to grieve that your marriage is ending.

How are your kids holding up? I will say a little prayer for them too.

Oh Sheryl, I am so sorry to hear that. I can only imagine how sad you must feel. I too pray that God will allow you to see the beauty sooner rather than later.

I will be available by email all day today if you need someone to talk to.

I am sorry too. I know that you feel alone and thinking that nothing will ever be okay again...but it will be, one day. Keep praying for that day...when you will be okay...when you can breathe. Let God carry you in the palm of his hand and trust that he will restore beauty to your life (even if it's not in your marriage), as promised.
I am praying for peace in your heart and your home...

Oh Sheryl,

My heart just breaks for you now. I'm just so so sorry to read this.

"Father, I lift Sheryl up to you in her deepest time of need. Surround her with your love and comfort her broken heart. Give her eyes to see you in the midst of her great disappointment. Send others to be there for her, and let her know she is never alone. Protect and watch over her, In Jesus name I pray."

I'm here, and I care♥

I came over to your blog to thank you for leaving a comment on mine. I see you are dealing with a tough time and can see why the words to the song meant so much. I will be praying for you.

Sheryl,
I am so sorry to hear about the divorce. It is a shame that he couldn't work things out with you.

I will pray for you, friend! I appreciate your stopping by to read the post about my grandfather, too!

Dear Sheryl,

I just wanted you to know that you were prayed for today :) I am so sorry for your circumstances and for this more recent bit of news about your husband.

I know it is hard to see God in all of this- that is completely normal. You'd be superhuman if you weren't asking any questions :)

But I just want to reassure you that He is in the midst of all of this and that He loves you with an everlasting love! Don't let the enemy tell you anything different.

Just as God brought something wonderful and amazing out of Joseph's trials with his brothers and all of that- God will bring wonderful and amazing things out of your trials too. God can see the bigger picture, He can see up ahead. We can't. We can only see what's going on now.

Look up. Look to Him. Keep your eyes fixed on Him. I know it is hard. Jesus never promised us it was going to be easy.

Don't forget how precious you are to Him.

Blessings, Chanin

Yes! Absolutely! There will be beauty from the ashes! Maybe not in the realm that you had perceived...
